Today's active learning tips:

● Write on the white board the plane of the lesson. It will help your students to understand what exactly is going on now in class. Such tip will be ecpecially useful for children having difficulties with sustained attention.

Practice: today we have learned a topic about time, clocks and watches. In particular we have been writing down time after completing each point of the plan. I intend to continue this tradition.

Learning Diary

Hello everyone! I want to share with you a nice active learning idea: Learning Diary.

Ask your student to write down every day what they’ve learned. I really believe in Latin saying: Gútta cavát lapidém non ví sed sáepe cadéndo  (The drop excavates the stone, not with force but by falling often). Be ready to do something tiny but to turn it into your daily routine.

For example, I ask my students to read from one to three sentences every day and to translate/learn new words. Such reading demands little time while leading to significant results.
